Bio

I am just entering the 21st century and still learning about alot of these new fangled things, like LJ. I am in charge of a Star Trek Chicago Group called the USS MAGELLAN, where we meet and enjoy each others company, have fun outtings, and do volunteer work. I also work for a fan-run sci-fi convention called Capricon and have been at least a volunteer for two other fan run based Chicago Sci-Fi conventions; WindyCon and Duckon. I love to travel and have been to 48 states, (I am missing N.D. and Nebraska), almost all of Canada (missing only one province, a good part of the Carribean and Mexico, and 22 other countries. As my friends know, I love to cook the old fashioned way...no microwaves for me, and thankfully most of my friends seem to enjoy my cooking. I love to swim and play volleyball, although have not done the latter since a car had injured my neck two years ago. I have a Masters Degree in US History with a specialization in Native American History, as well as minors in Ancient Civilizations, especially Egypt, Greece and Rome.
I enjoy reading, and music and I am pretty open to both, although with the former, I have been reading alot of books to complete my degree.
